The meditative state can be achieved through different practices. When done properly you will feel it in your body and the changes in your body and mind will be objectively measurable, like in image 1 below.
Image 1. The Zone
A screen grab I took, from my Heartmath measuring tool, of a client’s Heart Rate Variability (HRV). HRV can be used to measure the client's ability to focus their mind on their heart. The heart is a very impactful part of your nervous system.
Increasing positive emotions.
Consistent meditation reduces the impact of negative emotions, like stress and sadness, upon the body. Negative emotions disrupt the energy flow within the body and cause fatigue. From this fatigued state overcoming the obstacles to your life/goals becomes more difficult. With consistent meditation, less than 10 minutes a day, the energy flows are constantly re-established, you feel energized and harmonious within and so can deal with the inevitable obstacles of life better.
Intuition:
Your heart has neurons. Hence the saying “follow your heart.” Of course your brain also has neurons and is your main source for knowledge and decision making, however we’ve all experienced the brain's limitations: confusion, indecision, not knowing which option to take. The most effective way of ‘knowing’ is to combine the neurons in your brain and your heart. This will give many amazing insights, abilities and options to you. It's quite easy. Easier than you think, if you know the steps.
This is the outcome of good meditation: courage; resilience; clear thinking; compassion for self and others; a calm acceptance for what is happening now, and a resilient commitment to your path. In short, you will experience more positive emotions despite how difficult the challenges are, and you will know what you want and how to get it.
So, if you have some goals, or a picture in your mind of how you want your life to be, it doesn’t matter where you are at now. You can have that life. Meditation is a powerful tool you can use to help you keep striving for the life you want despite the challenging emotions of fear and doubt, or the unclear path.
There is one more element. It is difficult to encapsulate in a short blog post, but it goes like this: when you meditate you connect to the Universe. The Universe observes you, hears you, and immediately starts to help you. The speed by which you receive the opportunities towards your goal is dependent on how good you are at listening to your heart, your conscience, the Universe.
I can teach you how to connect to, and hear, your heart and the Universe. But the courage to take action and to follow your heart, honestly, that is in you. You have the free will to decide.
I aim to be your team-mate. Not because I’m especially gifted. I sought teachings from multiple PhD’s and spiritual masters. I got certified in coaching so I can walk the path with you, next to you: not a teacher, a team-mate.
Lets connect, have a chat, you can tell me what you want from your life, what challenges you are facing, we’ll figure out some goals together and then we will take small, easy, consistent steps towards those goals. You’ll be amazed how much easier it is when you work your body’s energy system in the right way and connect to the Universe.
